History

The chateau and its park are calm and full of beauty. Carrying the soul of its past, it is one of the few places where you can really feel what inspired the Age of Enlightenment in the 18th century and feel the art of life in the French countryside.

It is very well preserved and belongs to the ‘Patrimoine de France’ or ‘French Heritage’.

The original 13th century fortified castle was expanded in the 17th century with the construction of the main part of the chateau. A member of the King’s guard lived here in the 18th century.

Location

Sitting in a 1.3 hectare park with a 7.5 m X 15 m large swimming-pool, it is located near Rodez, in the department of Aveyron in the South of France. Aveyron is a department with one of the greatest concentrations of chateaux in France.

Building

The living area is 450 square meters, on two levels under a very well insulated attic and above a large cellar.
